I spent Monday and Tuesday learning how to dye with indigo with our friend Jean! It is quite a process as indigo is not water soluble and it does not like oxygen. Indigo is a being unto itself and is definately not something to be learnt in a day.
Each type of wool took the indigo differently wich resulted in a range of beautiful blues.
We also did a bit of shibori dyeing which I will have share another day.
that is so exciting! I would love the chance to learn some dyeing prosesses~

The range of blue colours is impressive - the photo shows this well. Now I also have an idea of what is involved. Thanks.
