Victoria Fibre Festival

My friend Yaz took some really great photo's yesterday. Going through them has been really neat to get another perspective from the other side of the table. So many wonderful people came and talked with us, about our venture, potential location ( the million dollar question!) and our goals.

I would have to say the day was very inspiring, and worth every moment we have put into it over the last while. I am always amazed at how the fibre community is made of such kind, happy, warm hearted people.

Nathan was a super big help that day, carrying stuff, talking to people about his contributions to getting things ready, like the felting kits, arranging the died wool into a rainbow pattern.

Elizabeth tried on T'iings cute little capelets that she knit up.
Elizabeth eventually made fast friends with the daughter of Janice from Rabbitworks, felting and playing!

The pict
ures from the day are from my best friend Yaz! Thanks Yaz!

Ryan demonstrating how he makes rope with tassle winders!

Some of the wool that we have been hand dyeing!

We are looking into the possibility of being at a street market or two this summer. Will keep details posted!

  1. It looks so wonderful. I'm in the Fraser Valley and would have loved to make a visit. Are you having another next year?

  2. Marilyn puts on a fibre festival every year at Saxe Point. She announced the dates for next year, but I don't remember them. Her website is: www.communityknitters.com

The festival has really been growing in these past few years. Hope to see you there one year!
