Imported from India!
This week we received two shipments from India, spun fibres of silks and beautiful cotton and.......charkas! These are the type of spinning wheels that Ghandi spun with. I have learned how to re-condition them so that will be an option for people, or people can buy them as is. They are magical to spin on, and I will be demo-ing at the fibre fest on Sunday at Saxe Point. If you are interested in learning hw to spin on one, be sure to talk to me about it and we can work something out!

Wow! How wonderful.
ReplyDeleteCharkas all the way from India. I am completely filled with the desire to spin on one of those. I hope I get a chance to see it at Saxe Point this Sunday. If not, it will make a wonderful excuse to stop by the shop.
