Pixie Puddlers!

Are these not the cutest and coolest! If you want to read more about them Karen explains in her blog. She also brought in a little kids pair too!

My favorite part about the store so far has been the people who have been coming in with these great ideas and getting to be a part of their implementing them! Marilyn has coordinated a Christmas knitting afternoon (Wednesday), so kids can come too! A sign up sheet is up and you can take a sneak peek at what she has in mind.

Other somewhat exciting incoming materials are KnitPicks 16inch cable needles, not too common, but great for making things like leg warmers without needing to use dpns.

And for those of you who have been interested in the knit scarf next to the Indigo Moon, it looks like it is the same pattern that is available for free through Hanks Yarn and Fibre. It just looks like the stst is wider and smaller needles were used to make the one in the store. What were the odds that Christy would just happen to be knitting the same pattern and recognized it!

I keep publishing the post and then remembering one more thing... Community Knitters was called with a request for an additional 500 hats, there is a campaign for a hat for every homeless person this holiday season. Soo if you are not sure what to cast on, why not a hat! They can be dropped off at the shop, as we are now an agent for the Community Knitters. As well, if are in need of a stash overhaul, you are also welcome to bring some of it and donate it to the Community Knitters. Who are the Community Knitters? They are a group that knit for charity and you can read more about this great group here.
Thanks!

  2. As if you didn't have enough to do, Stephanie - but I've tagged you for a meme. I'm finding it rather fun.
